The Tampa Museum of Art’s first Art After Dark held at their new temporary home in Old West Tampa was a moderate success. It should be pointed out that they wanted it that way. The plan was for a limited attendance and an initial shakedown as to how the gallery and display spaces worked for this regular monthly event. The February event was short on art with only 20 pieces on display. But the newly spruced up space offered high ceilings and a historical uniqueness that indicates that future events should be as successful as before.
The Old West Tampa location will be the home to the museum for the next two years or more as the current museum is demolished and a new museum is built.
